BEATRIX' 08-06-2010
Friday, June 4th, was the last evening of the four day marches in Hilversum. Hundreds of contestants walked towards the finish line where they would receive their participation medals.
Beatrix’ was there to guide and support the contestants on their way to the finish line. The corps hall opened its doors at 18:00 for the members to change into their uniforms. Once everyone was dressed it was time to walk to the meeting point, which luckily wasn’t too far from the clubhouse.
After arriving there both Jong Beatrix and Beatrix’ Drum and Bugle Corps did a quick warm-up before marching towards the starting point of the parade. Beatrix’ marched in the front of the hundreds of people who joined the parade. The brass and percussion could be heard from miles away, and it was clear that the crowd enjoyed the music. It was a fun performance in our hometown Hilversum.
