DAY CARE CENTER VISITS JB

Every room of the corps hall was filled with musical instruments and props to be tried out by the young children: drums, trumpets, flutes, xylophones and flags, something different in every room.

The children entered the corps hall and were welcomed. They had the opportunity to get acquainted with the instruments and flags. The next two hours the building was filled with noise. The kids danced and were taught some movements in combination with flags. Everyone was very excited and also the teachers had a great afternoon. All instruments could be tried in groups for half an hour, and after that the groups shifted rooms so that everyone could try something different. At the end of the summer vacation this project will continue. Children can sign up at the day care center for a 6 week course on an instrument of their choice. This will take place in the corps hall on Wednesday afternoons.

Off course you don’t have to be in day care to sign up. The program is aimed at children in fourth through eighth grade of primary school. The courses will start Wednesday afternoon September 1st. The exact timetable will be posted on our website.

Are you in third grade, then you are welcome at Kids in the Band. Kids in the Band rehearse every Friday night from 18:30 until 19:30. In this hour you will be introduced to music and musical instruments. Kids in the Band will be in the corps hall the last two Fridays before the summer vacation. So if you’re interested just drop by!

Saturday, July 3^rd, we have a ‘bring you friend’-day. Everybody is welcome from 9:00 until 13:00 on Jagerspaadje in Loosdrecht. We will be on the rear sport field of the baseball club. Here again, you will be able to try an instrument to see if you like it.

The program will have a summer break from July 9^th until August 20^th. The first rehearsal will be on August 28^th.
