A dull sky, a light breeze, the field covered in dew and the sound of a woodblock on the background. Drumcorps has started again and that means a full weekend rehearsal for Beatrix. Saturday and Sunday were used to get Beatrix back on its tracks and on the level where they ended before the summer break. Many chunks of the show were rehearsed from beginning to end to be sure everything was right. With an acceptable run the first rehearsal day was concluded.
Sunday the members got an hour’s extra rest. At 10:00 Beatrix’ started the day all freshened up and the schedule of the previous day was continued. Many more big parts of the program were repeated to get them on the right level again. Many members had sore muscles from the previous day but despite that everyone gave it their best to make this another good rehearsal day, with success! At the end the day the show was there again and the corps can continue working towards the final performances of 2010.
Coming Saturday, Beatrix’ will not be rehearsing. Members will be expected at the corps hall at 10:00 to go to Vollenhoven where the corps will give their musical support in the flower parade and participate in the in the local tattoo.
